As a result of our ongoing success, a fantastic opportunity has arisen to join our market leading team on a full-time basis to strengthen our ‘Managed Services & Operations’ team in Germany. As the Co-lead of Property Management you will be involved in supporting the operational management, as well as involved in presenting and pitching to investors in support of the strategic direction of our properties across Germany.

As a result of our ongoing success, a fantastic opportunity has arisen to join our market leading team on a full-time basis to strengthen our ‘Managed Services & Operations’ team in Germany. As a Property Manager (Commercial) you will be responsible for the operational management, and (supporting the) strategic direction, of our commercial properties in Hamburg.
Main tasks:
Overall responsibility: Assume overall responsibility for the property management of our office and logistics properties in southern Germany.- Administration and operations: Management of processes including compliance with standards, budget planning and monitoring, reporting and first point of contact for tenants. Management of rental agreements and rent adjustments.
- Team leadership: Leading and developing the property management team in southern Germany, consisting of property managers and technical staff.
- Strategic planning: Development and implementation of strategies to optimise property performance and increase value.
- Tenant support: Building and continuously maintaining relationships with tenants to ensure their satisfaction and long-term loyalty.
- Contract negotiations: Negotiating contracts and overseeing all contractor services related to the physical operation of the property.
- Financial management: Managing all financial activities of the properties. Preparation and monitoring of annual budgets for property management including cost control and reporting.
- Quality assurance: Implementation and monitoring of quality standards and processes in property management. Continuation and further development of the property management strategy.
- Compliance and safety: Ensuring compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements and safety standards.
- Collaboration: Fostering relationships across departments and business units internally and with external partners to promote effective teamwork. Represent Hines in select business, community and industry organisations and groups.
Requirements:
- Education: Degree in property management, business administration or comparable qualification from a recognised institution.
- Experience: At least 8-10 years of relevant management experience in property management, preferably in the office and logistics property sectors.
- Leadership skills: Proven experience in leading and developing teams.
- Expertise: Sound knowledge of property markets, property management processes and legal and technical aspects of property management.
- Analytical skills: Strong analytical and strategic skills to tackle complex challenges and develop solutions.
- Communication: Excellent communication and negotiation skills in German and English.
- IT skills: Confident in using common property management software solutions and MS Office.
- Travel: Willingness to travel regularly to our properties in Southern
